Area certifications are used to determine the area of a given space. They do not require the detail of interior walls or fixtures within a floor or suite. Most commonly, they consist of base building elements as well as demising walls where applicable. The function of the certification is simply to verify the area.

Using the current BOMA standards, which ensure a fair allocation of ALL building areas, we can often provide a significant financial advantage to the property manager or owner when the time comes for lease renewal.

In accordance with the latest BOMA standards, useable areas are achievable with only a measurement of an individual suite. Basic rentable areas require an entire floor measurement. Full rentable area calculations require a complete building measurement.
